MK18 light and/or laser suggestions: setup, brand, model, etc..

Check out 911 Supply in Calgary, that is where I got my dual switch... as for the Ergo ladders color matching, they are pretty close to the Magpul, which I run on mine, but no idea on the DD FDE...picked those from Dave's tactical. they are on this site.
have fun!!

I looked but couldn't find anything, do you have a link? EDIT I found it actually its a Surefire product? Either way I ordered one, as it showed it workds with the light and laser

I got my laser today via Canpar

Does your light have the proper tailcap? I had to get the Surefire adapter as well for my light, a SF fury...it was crazy expensive! Anytime man.

I hope so, it came with a push button cap and a cap that accepts the other 2 Surefire pressure switches I have, one is a Surefire SR dual swich and the other is the ST switch.

in the pictures the connector does look the same as the one my flashlight uses

Few more questions for you guys, I got my dual switch from 911 supply, and I got some BCM gunfighter grips. I got a MOD 0 and MOD 3, the MOD 3 fits my hand better as its thicker at the top, where the MOD 0 starts to taper and get thinner. I made the mistake of ordering tan and its too light for my liking, so if anyone wants on Im going to sell it. And I just ordered the same one in black to replace it. At least I got to find out which shape fits my hand best...

I also got my rail riser from Brownells finally, Canada customs actually opened the box and sealed it back up with some yellow tape, and that took an extra 10 days at customs for some reason! Anyways the extra 1/2 is perfect, I used to only be able to get the reticle in the upper 1/3rd of the window on my EoTECH, now I can get it right in the middle and I dont have to press my cheek so hard into the cheek pad on the stock. Now the BUIS are pretty much useless so I removed them

Now I am trying to decide on location for the flash light, laser, and dual switch. As of last night I put the dual switch on the left side all the way forward. I have the flashlight on the Gear mount also all the way forward on the right side, and I put my vert grip about in the middle of the rail centered below the laser. My question is how many of you right handed shooters prefer to have the switch on the left side compared to the right. To activate it with your thumb rather then on the right to activate with your fingers? Im just trying to decide on a proper location for everything to be usable comfortably.

And my next question is about the flashlight being mounted so far forward. Will the blast from the standard DD flash hider stain or ruin my lens on the flashlight? If it does can I replace that? Or would I be out the whole flashlight cost?
I have a Noveske KX3 on backorder, and I have a Griffin blast shield on the way from Vancouver also. I may or may not be shooting the rifle before either of them arrive, so I just want to make sure I don't ruin the flashlight lens and cap before that...

Awesome! The location is up to you, whatever feels more natural...I liked the left side forward as it suited my grip on the rifle more...try it in few locations...don't listen to anyone who says."IT HAS TO BE HERE, OR YOU ARE DUMB"( as there are a few on here...and everywhere) it's your rifle, do what YOU like! :) As for the light...try pulling it back a couple of sections...keeps outta the blast, and still no shadows ...you know...if you like.

As long as the lense is behind the FS slots, you should be fine. Putting it anywhere beyond the slots will cover the lense with soot once the shooting starts, and reduces the light output.

This is with the DD flash hider

And my blast shield came in, so here it is with the blast shield on the DD flash hider. It fits but it has a little play, just last night I managed to get the Griffin comp on. I had to dremel away a little material from the Brownells upper vise block to clear the rotation stops on the DD rail bracket. In this pic you can also see the location of my dual switch.
