If I have a scope that is set for 1/4 moa and I'm shooting 1000 yrds, if I need to adjust my scope 10 moa, does that mean that I have to 40 clicks? Will that move the impcat point 100 inches then ?

But, it may not be 100inches exactly if you go 40 clicks. For example, in a 1/4MOA scope like yours, if you adjusted your scope 4 clicks up at 100yards, you cannot expect it to go exactly 1" unless you have tested and compensated for it already.

The value of MOA at 100 yards is 1.047 inches (0.001745 x 600 = 1.047)

At 1000yds 1MOA will equal 10.47 inches X 10 MOA = 104.7 inches

Scopes seldom give exactly one minute of movement per 4 clicks. Some of my scopes need 5 clicks. Some came from the factory with different clicks in the wind knob vs the elevation. Leopold.

It is useful to shoot a calibration target with 3 shots, then up 5 minutes, then left 5 minutes, then down 5 minutes then right 5. pattern should be square. often is not.
