I have a 1924 Model 12 Winchester 20 gauge with a nickel Steel barrel and 2 1/2 inch chamber? The firearm seems to be in very nice shape? Can the chamber of this firearm be safely honed for 2 3/4 inch shells? Thanks in advance!
If it is in collector status or close to it, why play with it?
Leave it as is and find something else to shoot?
Edit.........wander down to the EE and see the one for sale there.
The value may just open your eyes.
I have a Browning Auto-5 16ga that was 2 9/16 chamber I believe and some one lengthened it to 2 3/4 and the ejection port also had to be lengthened.I have a 1924 Model 12 Winchester 20 gauge with a nickel Steel barrel and 2 1/2 inch chamber? That is what I would do. The one in the EE is also a good price and should be sold state side for a bit more I would say.
