I have a 1924 Model 12 Winchester 20 gauge with a nickel Steel barrel and 2 1/2 inch chamber? The firearm seems to be in very nice shape? Can the chamber of this firearm be safely honed for 2 3/4 inch shells? Thanks in advance!

If it is in collector status or close to it, why play with it?
Leave it as is and find something else to shoot?

Edit.........wander down to the EE and see the one for sale there.
The value may just open your eyes.

I am not a collector. I bought this gun as a shooter. I will check out the EE.

I have a Browning Auto-5 16ga that was 2 9/16 chamber I believe and some one lengthened it to 2 3/4 and the ejection port also had to be lengthened.
you may have to do this on your model 12 also.

Yep, I did check that one out. I think I have seen that gun and know the seller. Maybe I will sell mine:) or get a roll crimper and load my own:)
