I've been given the opportunity to buy a S&W model 27 of 60s-70s vintage from the fellow who bought it from my uncle many years ago.
It has an 8-3/8" barrel, which is longer than I look for in a gun, and I'd probably not be interested if not for the family connection. My longest Smiths are 6".
Just wondering who has a longer Smith and how you find them for shooting and balance. I shoot in the bullseye/duelist style for preference.
I have a 10" Super Blakhawk that I find to be too unwieldy for this short of plinking, but a single action 44 is a different beast.
