Took mine apart and destroyed it. I feel so much safer now.

I think a large number of the non restricted’s have been sold prior to the bans. I have a safe Which is no longer needed.

Received my build from ATRS a week ago and am 100% satisfied with how it turned out. Shoots like a champ, weighed in at 5.8 lbs without optics, and very well balanced. The TT trigger is awesome!!!

A big shout out to Dustin who assisted in spec'ing the rifle.

ATRS Modern Sporter upper/lower receivers

When did you place your order?

Just completed my DMR build, getting less than half a minute with handloads. Very satisfied.

Any other Lightweight parts besides the barrel and stock?

The 15" MRA V1 MLOK handguard is the only other "light weight" item coming in at 10 oz. This rifle is meant to be a 'do it all' and I decided to stay away from a lightweight BCG and adjustable gas block or else I could have dropped the weight a bit more.

I wonder why some one who did the same in August 2019 still hasn't heard jack? Hmm...

Hello 'Canadian-Sniper',

Could you please send us an email to info@albertatacticalrifle.com with your name and if possible a copy of your invoice and we will look into this. Without further information the only possibilities I can think of are:

A) If it's a receiver set, likely we did reach out to you, and have not received a response back from you.

B) If it's a complete rifle build, there are likely complications with some of the specific parts ordered or chosen.

Those two possibilities aside, we are prepping December and January receiver sets to ship right now.

Hey guys. I just saw an WTB for a MS compatible BCG. The guy is stating his M16 Faxon BCG cam pin wont' fit in the upper receiver slot of his MS. I'm planning to rob some parts from my M&P Sport including its BCG. Has anyone had any issues with BCG's not fitting their upper? Thanks.

On the first run of slick sides the pocket is a bit small.

Interesting... First I've heard of that...

On my own, I'm running Brownells Nitrided, BCM, and Phase 5 NIB. I've built and test fired for others with Faxxon, JP, Colt, DPMS, Bushmaster, Stag, Lantac... I can't even remember all the different carriers and bolts...

We made 3 uppers without a cam pin notch, for the cam pin to 'cam over' into... those were prototypes for our 22lr submission to the RCMP a year and a half ago, but that's literally the only thing coming to mind about cam pins. And they stayed right here.

I'd suggest that person gets a hold of us to discuss the problem [info@albertatacticalrifle.com]. Perhaps he's using an AR10 cam pin somehow ? Or didn't rotate the cam pin when assembling the carrier group ?

I reported it a long time ago, then I got some snarky responses from other CGNers, “tHaT’s hOw AlL aR-15s wOrK”. It didn’t bother me because it functioned 100%.

When I received our FA uppers the pocket was milled differently.

Ah, yeah that is pretty minor, but we have tweaked a few tiny things like that throughout production.

I interpreted the description as saying the cam pin wouldn't fit into the channel in the upper. Not that it was making contact after camming over.

btw... That's a hell of an awkward spot to get a photo, mad props on getting that clean of a shot through a dust port with lighting!

When I had a first run MS I test fitted a low mass Faxon with no issues. Didn't fire it but it fit and cycled manually no problem. I ended up staying with the low mass Brownells BCG as it seemed of better quality than the Faxon qhich was twice the $.

Here's the ad. Hopefully the individual doesn't mind me doing this.

I am looking for a BCG that would work well in a ATRS Modern Sporter. My current M16 Faxon BCG has a very large cam pin and will not fit into the upper unfortunately. I couldn’t find any roller cam pins available, so I looking at replacing the entire BCG. The following are BCGs that I have found on CGN that have worked for other people.

The problem with forums and internet is virtually no-one uses their real names. We got an email with great photos from a fellow today having what he thinks are issues with his Faxon bolt as well. The great photos he sent plainly show that the barrel is not indexed correctly. Either the locating pin in the barrel extension is off or the barrel was over torqued so the feed ramps now misaligned about 10 degrees from being TDC. This will effect when and where the cam pins starts to move and where it will rest IF the bolt properly locks up.
I am wondering if this is the same fellow? It is funny to have 2 virtually identical situations on the same day.

I bet it is. I PM'd the guy who placed the ad to let him know what I did on his behalf. He just replied back and said that he has been in contact with you and will slide over to this thread to chime in.
