Sounds like a barrel problem not an upper problem. Both of my uppers fit the barrels very tight and I had to use the barrel nut to seat the barrel completely
It still fits the Ms upper. Every dimension on the uppers are checked after they get them back from ano and if it's not within spec they don't ship it out. Tolerance stacking is a problem. If you have a barrel extension on the small side and an upper on the bigger side of the tolerance its going to be loose. If you are worried about it send it back to atrs and get them to double check it with your barrel.
My question was should I be worried about it. Everything is put together and shoots good so idk. I just don't have experience with this particular issue is all. I emailed them anyways, so ill see what they say when they get back to me.

There is no safety concern in regards to what you are describing. If a tighter fit is desired I have heard from some folks that they bed their barrel extension into all upper receivers using loctite 620. This is not a method that I have experience using myself, and am merely passing along a customers recommendation. Use at your own risk. [Although I am told there is no risk]
Not seeing many builds, lets see more photos guys.![]()
I'm sure this has been covered in 1 of the 154 pages but my DPMS ejection port cover wont open with a Brownells Lightweight BCG. Is it the cover or the bcg or both?
Also, theres quite a bit of play between the receivers....any fixes other than some bits of electrical tape on the rear screw?
Would a dab of JB weld on the center portion of the cover do the trick? Were there any other solutions other than changing bcgs?
I hope thats not the case. I had to order one of the adjustable strike industries dust covers because none of mine would stay shut.
Lol. Sigh. I’ll see what happens I suppose.
