When you say altered hook, do you mean removing material from the bottom of the hook? Or has the hook been completely modified?

The "hook" has a slight angle on it now going from top to bottom of the front surface that allows the upper to pass by the big wart on the back of the TT adjustable triggers.
It was a very minor modification even to do it by hand, but we figured why not modify the program to allow for less hassle for the end user.

I will try and get Shaun to post photos shortly.

SO all those modifications will be implamented with the #2 FA uppers and lowers right ?

They will be in effect on ALL forward assist uppers, and all second run lowers. Very few slick side uppers have the change on the hook, so the majority of the second run orders going with slick side will have the original style (and also the larger ejection port). ALL future orders being placed will be with the small ejection port and angled hook.

None are out yet, they're only just going up to anodizing now (a long with the first dozen forward assist uppers I might add!).

Going forward an easy way to know what you're looking at is if it has an enlarged ejection port, it has the original hook. If it has a small ejection port it has the angled hook.

Sorry pal but I ordered 13 F/A uppers the day they were announced.:dancingbanana::p Now if only my Krylon order would show up.

well they have 12, so none for you as they cant fill your order..... hahahahahhah I ordered 5 minutes after the email was out as well...lol. my original serial was 25 so I hope the 15 before me got slick slides...lol...

I am thinking they will ship 12 of my 13 and back order 1 along with the case of Krylon:p

The thickness of the back of the trigger guard (in front of the pistol grip) on the lowers has been increased a few thou to better align the hole for the safety detent and spring with the hole in the pistol grip to allow the use of standard safety detents and springs. Due to this we are not threading that hole to use our ball bearing and set screw system. The area that supports the buffer tube has also been thinned to allow A2 style buffer tubes to capture the buffer retaining pin without modification.

Will this be done for us August 2019 folks?

How do you know which production run you are in? When was the cut off dates for production #1 lowers to production #2 lowers?
I ordered a slick side upper receiver and a lower receiver on November 14, 2018. Would that put me in production run #1 or #2?
I also purchased a second FA upper on Feb 13, 2019.

Will I have a complete set sometime this summer?

Thanks =)

Your orders fall in the window of the second production run. Receiver sets in the second production run are projected to start going out August-September IIRC. ATRS has been making uppers for the second run before switching to the lowers. I'm guessing the priority for the extra uppers they make goes to filling orders in the second run before being carried forward to the third run.

Production run 1 has their lowers in hand and most have their uppers and enjoy shooting the guns

Yup pretty much spot on.
