pay in full now.

That I believe is the best option. That way you do get your property.

j-san, this is in no way directed your way.

I am at a loss as to why so many self entitled guys feel that ALL the risk should be accrued by ATRS. We have had a lieberal government since before this gun was offered for sale. Lieberals have always been crystal clear they want all civilians disarmed and have been working on this agenda for far longer than this gun has existed. If you were in fear of losing it why on earth did you order 1??? What if the government were to ban any other object, would you be wanting the manufacturer to absorb that loss and refund your money for something they had no part in. As things stand currently the gun is legal for sale and for purchase, what if in 20 years they actually get around to a ban of all guns? Then what, who do you feel should return your investment??

The deposit to to A) cover ATRS for the cost of material and part of their cost of employees wages to make them, B) to get a commitment from the client, C) to aid in scheduling their work flow as it gives them an idea of how many to make. After the fact second thoughts on the behalf of the purchaser such as buyers remorse, wife saying no, government virtue signalling should not be part of the manufacturers problems. IF reasonable risk of the future is not in your comfort zone, don't purchase anything that could at some point be banned. This could include knives, forks, spoons, bats or just about anything judging by the insanity that is running rampant in the UK these days.

They would have to refund "you"...legally I believe. I don't think they get to keep everyone's money and the product...

Don't forget, businesses have a different type of firearms lisences and are allowed to hold/store things most of us cannot.

That being said. If the sale is complete in the eyes of the law. It’s YOUR property for which YOU’RE responsible for IF it comes to confiscation.

Everyone who suggests the business take the fall has clearly never ran a business before

I would never suggest they take the fall if product is delivered but if I pay in full and it goes prohib prior to completion they will never complete it or ship it to me. So the end user has nothing - paid in full means nothing until product in your hands - if prohib before you get it - they will no longer be able to produce it and it will be illegal to ship out even if done if done after prohib.

My original question was to figure out a solution to avoid this like 100% focus on the lowers getting out the uppers can be done at a later time for instance.

That is a risk I'm willing to take. We're (the customer) not talking big money here. It's ATRS that's going to get hit hard. I will take my risk and continue to support them just as they are continuing to support us with their hard work and dedication through these uncertainties.

IF you paid in full the bar stock is then marked with a serial number as per the RCMP mandate on raw materials that can be made into firearms. This IS stretching the 80% and under to our advantage.
These serialized bars are now YOUR property and ATRS is simply working on your gun. These guys are licensed for literally everything including full auto and suppressors along with a host of much more things that us mere serfs can only dream of.
So if the Turd does pass prohibition say tomorrow ATRS is still legally entitled to keep working on whatever they are or can. Normally the gubberment states that X firearm is now restricted or prohibited. Being as these are NR there really is no record that the gubberment has, to even know these exist. Rick has stated numerous times that if they are working on YOUR property YOUR property will be returned to YOU to do with as you see fit. There is a contract between ATRS and the customer after all.

I can't speak for ATRS but reading between the lines they are planning to continue making lowers after run 2 is done. It makes good business sense to not have to retask their machines to make uppers when they are already making lowers and need to get run 3 and possibly 4 into production.
You are correct that uppers are not as important to get produced at this time. I would wager the boys are well aware of this, they seem to have a pretty good handle on things.

Well written post. Thanks no-one special.

So its Monday morning. Snow storm overnight here made for a long and trying commute for most of us here.
Nothing makes a Monday more wonderful than picking up the first phone call of the week to have someone rip your face off about why he doesn't have his late in the run production run #2 receiver set. He then continues to rant about how poor our service is because we would not go through over 1000 invoices to find his specific order to find the date of order so we could provide a precise date of completion.
We all wish to sincerely thank this individual for wasting 35 minutes of our time that we could have been using to QC the lowers made over the weekend.

We DO wish to sincerely thank everyone who is exercising their patience to allow us to get as many sets made as possible and out the door without being abusive to ATRS staff.

Last week sometime I heard you say that you we’re hoping to start production on run #3 next month.

For myself and anyone in production run #2. That’s a fantastic update. It’s clear ATRS is in the final stretch and we’re going to be crazy excited very soon.

Seriously thank you Rick & Shaun and everyone behind the scenes at ATRS for making this all happen for us.

You guys have wayyy more patience than most @ 35 minutes of listening to that garbage. I think I would have "fired" the customer and given a refund inside of them 6 minute mark and bump up some other lucky individual in their place.

Theres always one or two @$$holes every year that thinks their dinky job has priority, joys of working in the trades.

Keep up the great work guys, 99.5% of us patiently lurk here just waiting for the call. Lol

I would refund their money or maybe put them at the bottom of the pile. You don’t need to take that abuse.

Agreed. We all knew what we were signing onto when we decided to order our receiver sets with ATRS who was a very upfront about the projected timeline which they've managed to stay on track with very well so far.

This is a far cry from their competitor who continually gave the b******* line of just two more weeks, for close to a year LOL.

If he is so impatient to get his hands on one you think he would have ordered before the FRT was dropped like some of us did...

Sure made waiting for the rest of mine sooo much easier :stirthepot2:

I'll get mine, that I'm sure of.

I ordered late...I read the forums, I asked ATRS directly. It will show up. I knew going in that I was going to wait.

I think this guy did too....but there's an "ahem" in every basket.

Blow it off...you guys are doing a great job.
