Modern Varmint Rifle Updated Oct 14 2015

Question: How is the MV barrel mounted into the receiver and is it similar or identical to an AR system?

I would have to double check my MH but I would suspect that it isn't identical to an AR system to keep people from swapping in a shorter barrel which would create a restricted version of the rifle.

I don't think any one has gotten thers yet
Last week I called to make arrangements for my MH uppers and ask about the MV at that point non have bin finished or shiped
still waiting on parts but it is getting close

How long would the MV upper be including a muzzle break? I'm looking at a HAZARD4 EVAC Takedown sling pack as a possible addition to my rifle case collection. It has 27" of inside space for an upper. I know that my MH is a little longer than that but I'm hoping the MV might be a little shorter.

My MH upper is 28.5", but 29.5" with the scope sticking out past the upper an 1" for the proper eye relief for my setup. My MH upper is 18.6" proof barrel, ATRS muzzle brake & a Leupold Mark 6 3-18 scope in a Spuhr mount. The MV upper reciever will of course be a smaller, 33% I believe than the MH upper. I think you will have trouble fitting it in your case if only 27" is available, unless you run a red dot & no muzzle device. Since you are in Calgary, just go to ATRS and have a measure of their store prototype.

I have not asked once yet, but.....

Where are we at with these? It's almost September!:runaway:

Phew. Been holding that in a while... lol

Soon. Once a couple of key staff members return from a well earned vacation and a gun show final assembly and test firing will commence.
then the call will be made that guns are ready, the exception being guns with CFW barrels as we are still waiting on them.

Your patience is appreciated, we are doing everything we can to get these out the door.

Great news Rick! I am sure your staff certainly have earned their vacations! So I am one of the morons paying a premium for a longer wait time (CFW PR Barrel) an sign of when the end will be in sight for us?
