Modern Varmint Rifle Updated Oct 14 2015

You might consider marketing these for Service Rifle competition - all the best features of the AR, without the restrictions.

I don't know why. Really the only big decisions are what furniture you want and where a standard barrel or a CFW barrel. The only other options will be colors and whether it is ambi or not.

I should mention I have never owned an AR and know pretty much nothing about them. This is going to my first foray into it. I will go through your Modern Hunter build options and do some research on the different furniture options so hopefully I will be ready by the time you guys are taking orders :)

The MV is an AR in the same way that the VZ58 is an AK varient: in other words its similar in appearance, but thats about all.

^Thanks for clarifying! My point exactly, shows how little I know about these. I need to do some more research. The only "black" rifle I own is a CX4 storm, but I've been in the market for an accurate NR semi-auto in 223 and I think this will fit the bill.

Definately sounds cool. Depending on the price, I'll either be down for one when they come out or a while after... But for sure it sounds like a "must have". And Canadian made, none the less!

It would be nice to have optional uppers in the future. The Modern Varminter could rival the Modern Hunter with a .50 Beowulf upper for < 300 yards and 6.5 Grendel for > 300 yards. A lightweight, durable, do it all rifle.
