Your buddies obviously don't know #### about moose or the 6.5x55. I would use a quality bullet, aka Nosler Partition or Swift A-Frame, and hold tight behind the shoulder. If you can do that you'll kill every moose you shoot. The 6.5 Swede is popular in Sweden for shooting Moose and while it might not be the greatest 300 yard moose rifle (probably still kill very moose you shoot though) it is perfectly adequate for the task at hand. Not even "on the light side".
My buddies are giving me grief and saying "not enough gun" . I know it is capible as many moose have been harvested.
Using 6.5x55 what is your suggestion for bullet and aiming point?
I won't shoot more than 150 yards where I hunt.
