Hi. The M&P I bought off of another CGN'er arrived yesterday. I'm pleased with it and plan to take it out to the range on Thursday to try it out. As I was going over it and field stripping it to familiarize myself with the firearm, I wondered what is the purpose/function of the hinged trigger? Also, although being a shooter for something like forty years I'm pretty much a noob to pistols. I've seen the M&P referred to as a "safe-action" pistol. I'm assuming that this means that since it does not have a mechanical safety, the "safe action" of keeping one's trigger finger out of the trigger guard is the "safety". Is this correct? As well, I have ordered an Apex sear for it. Is there anywhere on the 'net that I can find an exploded view of the gun to help me install it? And finally, I've read where some folks have referred others to the "M&P forum". Link?
