Mosin Nagant Sporter Project

I didn't think this was possible with a mosin nagant.. i mean... anything is possible, but that just completely hidden the fact that it's a m44. I like it! If i remember i cut my spring by two links or so, so the bolt was easier to action after it's been fired. Helped, I'd recommend it if you are sure, but not necessary.

driving new shooters off one at a time. if you drive off all the new shooters and the old shooters are dying who do you think will be left to protect shooting from the liberals?. If you drive off enough shooters then wendy and holland will send you a christmas card thanking you for destoying the firearms heritage in Canada. But think of all the milsurps you will have saved so that they can be smelted in mint condition when we are not allowed to own them anymore because there was no one left to fight. You sir are a true hero well done.

Relax. Do you really think Skirsons and Recce's opinions could drive someone away from shooting? lol. When the op started this thread, I sat and waited for Skirsons reply. He never dissapoints.
Hey Recce, I'm in Edmonton. Where's the beer?

I'm normally never one for sporterizing a rifle but I think I may do just that, if only for the enjoyment I'd get out of posting the pics here just to watch the purists pull their hair out.

All of this huff over a $150 rifle.

most of my problem with skirsons and company

is that they never have a positive contribution to make. never have a good word to say about anyones work and have no respect or courtesy regarding the opinions of others. I dislike internet toughguys and bullies of any stripe. you want to see some crying, wait till my .44 magnum lee enfield is done

Success! One less Bubba! Everyone to my house for beers!

Frankly, your whining just makes me want to buy a couple of mint No1 MkIIIs or K43s, mess them the f*ck up and post them here just to make you die a little inside. That would be trolling.
But then again, I really don't care enough to spend that kind of money just to piss you off. I'm actually amazed at the discussion I kicked off here, that really wasn't my intention.

Thanks a lot to those who gave me advice. Now it's only a question of actually getting the rifle and getting started on the project. I probably won't post any pictures of the completed project here, but rather in the sporter section. Let's just hope this thread dies sometime soon.

These posts need a place of their own. I may be wrong but I don't feel they should be welcome here.
The posts are educational. How else will people find out that sporterizing milsurps is uncool? I didn't know till I came here and I'm probably not the only one.
