I'm gonna go out on a limb here. Many people are gonna bash these rifles. However, I have 2. One in .308 and another in .30-06. Both are more than serviceable and I like them. They are both better shooters than I am. I used the .30-06 last year to kill a buck at 240yds, a doe at 260yds, and a 700 lb cow moose almost in the same place as the doe. The rifle functioned reliably and each shot on the deer were bang-flops.
The moose was a heart shot but I was using a bullet that was too light (I was deer hunting and she came out wrong time, wrong place) but I still had the tag and I knew that even a 150gr would do the job. It did, she went 75yds and laid down. Not quite dead when I got there, but close enough.
I only shoot in the .30 and .311 cals but I am sure that the 270 is of similar accuracy and quality which I believe is excellent for the price.
Good luck.
