Mossberg 500/590 Info

I read a link/post on how to convert your 535 forend so it will except a slide tube but can't find it now has anyone read it and know where to look?
I just picked up a 590A1 BW so haven't look to hard being preoccupied with that.:)

Scabbard's are made for swords :confused:. Don't know what you are asking.

If you are asking about the bayonet, the 14" doesn't have a bayo lug. If you are asking about a shotgun bag/case, might have to go to something made for an AR15 shorty that would fit a 34" OAL 14" 590A1.

I know someone or some company makes some quality shotgun scabbards for packing or attaching to a pack sack I was hoping someone has some experience or advice on which scabbard would properly support the Mossberg 14" shortie. The plan is to have attached somehow to my pack/back for long hikes. I don't live in Grizzly country so my little pepper packer does not need to be in the ready postion. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

They sell a nice one made by Condor that has a strap and is molle attachable too.

I just placed an order with them for some other stuff. (Second time customer)
Their prices are surprisingly good, but their shipping is expensive, so it balances out I guess. Especially so if you order a number of items.

I have a question about speed feed stocks. Ive put one on a 590a1 tightend the stock bolt to where i was afraid it would strip,but it still has a very small amount of wiggle.is this normal for these stocks?? Also how much torque can u put on the stock bolt?ive read somone stripped the steel bolt threads before the aluminum in the reciever,but that seems strange to me. Thx for any help with my questions.

Definitely do not overtighten the bolt.
Did you perhaps forget to attach the bolt washer when installing the stock?
 
Mossberg prices seem to vary wildly lately between retailers ..... Is this simply the effect of the low dollar and a matter of old stock vs new stock bought at the new lower dollar?
 
Ive been eyeballing a 20" 500 ZMB edition Persuader on clearance at a LGS for $330.

People shy away from it because of the green ZMB logo on the receiver. (Except I know how to, and have effectively removed said logo)

I thought they all came with recoil pads on the butts... do you have an old wood stock without one?

For love of Christ, someone help me find an original Mossberg perforated heat shield! PLEASE!!!
