Are these the same as the batch of 14" 590A1 shotguns that came in about 4 or so years back? do you know what choke these barrels have? As I recall, the ones that came in a few years ago could be purchased with either cylinder or modified chokes.

It doesn't appear to be an A1 just a 590. Probably a new one as Mossberg started releasing the 14" 590 models to the public.

IDK for sure but I am guessing that if they are being sold to the public in the US than perhaps the State Dept wouldn't care anymore as they are no longer considered Mil/LE only. Again, this is just speculation on my part.

Doubtful that this was a recent import. Probably been sitting on a pallet for awhile like the 14 inch 870 barrels that have surfaced recently. At a much higher price than a few years ago.

Seems that barrel length is the export issue based on another importers recent thread on the issue. These are likely not recent imports, new OLD stock just bumped up in price.

No mention of “choke” size for the barrel.

Ordered a modified bore in the last batch. But showed up as a cylinder bore. The dealer refunded a small amount of money to me.

What they both said... I was told a few months ago - while inquiring with people who import - that I could no longer bring in anything under an 18.5'' bbl. They said there was a moratorium in place. Have things recently changed?

The model shown is a cylinder bore. The shipment 4 years ago came with a heavy walled barrel and the option of a fixed modified choke barrel.
