How many 3" shells do they hold ?
Not sure as i havnt gotten my hands on any in 00 buck or slugs. But i think its one less.

Nice pics guys, BTW johNTO does the Black water fore grip have a full rail on the bottom, for mounting a Mapul AFG and have you had any issues with shells falling out of the speed stock while being fired.

over all quality is better on the 590A1

-parkerized finish
-metal safety
-metal trigger mech
-thicker barrel
-Barrel mounts like a 870 and mag spring can be easly stripped
-overall QC is better IMO
if you want a fantasic tactical style pump go with the 590A1 18.5" which allows you to use different barrels
Some 500 are parkerized as well.

Yes, there is a full rail on the bottom of the fore-stock. I've seen "handles" mounted on some. I did remove the two side rails because I kept getting my thumb jambed on recoil.
I'm not a fan of speed-feed stocks because live rounds have fallen out during normal shooting/cycling activity.

I purchased the sling online a few years ago but I can't remember from whom. It's made by Galati Intl.

Thanks, johNTO for confirming what I have read and thought, looks like I'll have to get the one without the speed stock.
sandman-23...no problem. I would order the same config. My 14" now wears a butt shell carrier. Adds a little weight but feels real nice on the cheek and the shells stay in place.

Mine too, I think we got ours at the same time. I got 1-500 and 2-590's. both very nice and not broke in yet. The 590 is very noticeably smoother just like butter to pump but from what I hear a couple hundred rounds will make them pretty much the same, love them both , I need longer barrels though and a recoil reducing stock! Any one know where the best place is to get one?
