****ATTENTION: CANADIAN 715T 25-ROUND MAGAZINE NOTICE***

O.F. Mossberg introduced the new 715P, 22LR Semi-Auto Pistol at the 2014 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. This model will use the same 25-round magazine as our 715T, .22LR Semi-Auto Rifles. According to Canadian law, all 25-round 715T rifle magazines are now prohibited in Canada.

To our distributors, dealers and consumers in Canada: O.F. Mossberg will replace any 25-round magazines you currently have with a 10-round magazine.

Please contact Grech Outdoors for information on replacing your 715T 25-round magazine.

Wait for OFFICIAL RELEASE from the RCMP.

Mossberg can say anything they want but they do not make the rules.

Funny the ruger pistol didnt cause the 25 round ban , the mossberg 715 t mag was made for the rifle and fully states on the packaging (25 round mossberg tactical 715t) , not the pistol ,,, like the ruger pistol any ruger mag will fit , yet they didnot prohibit the 25 round mags only the mag that said made for the pistol, wake up and stop bull#### rumors made by mossberg , they want your mags , what a gang of trouble makers

gun stores aren't the boss of gun laws...

honestly this whole thing has gone full retard..... Cabelas pulled the 715 because of the whole mag issue, yet they're selling 702's with the 25 round mag designed for that...

Which also has a pistol version....

Current Issues

1. Magazines designed or manufactured for both rimfire calibre rifles and handguns

Magazines designed to contain rimfire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a rifle do not have a regulated capacity. However, magazines designed to contain rimfire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a semiautomatic handgun are limited to 10 cartridges. Magazines designed or manufactured for use in both rifles and semiautomatic handguns are subject to the handgun limit of 10 cartridges.

Example:
Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 rifle and 15-22P pistol chambered for 22LR caliber:

the 10 round magazine is unregulated
the 25 round magazine is a prohibited device
Example 2*: The Ruger BX-25 magazine, chambered for 22 LR calibre, is designed and manufactured for use in the Ruger SR22 rifle, the 10/22 family of rifles/carbines and the 22 Charger handgun. As a result, this magazine is a prohibited device unless modified so its capacity is 10 cartridges or less. (*This information was not included in the original version of this bulletin, but was added on 2013-09-05.)

So does this mean that if someone has some 25 round mags for the mossberg tactical they are legal but you just cant buy anymore 25 rounders because they cannot be imported into Canada ,, another way around this would be a after market 25 round mag made just for the 715tactical , just like the 10-22 butler creeks are legal
:wave::wave::wave:
anyone have a clear answer for me

Every gun store in town has 10 rounders in all tbe 715's on the shelf that i saw.

I bought a 25 round mag last week, I got 2 mags and will keep using them. Rumers dont stop me from going to the range.
