Mossberg 930 C-SPX - 250 Unit Target

We just had a bunch of black 930's with 18.5" & 28" barrels show up today....bead sights. I'll get them on the website in the next bit.

I had my 18.5" HS (bead sight) 930 out today and it cycled everything i put into it and good groups with slugs. All I have to do now is get a +1 extension and get rid of the Choate bolt handle which works well but I find distracting.

It's funny... some people seem to be the type that, if they wanted a Civic Si, they are buying Civic LX's, taking them to their mechanics and asking them to make it a Si...

I look forward to everyones opinion, but how many more times will people offer to tell, "buy an LX, take it to your gunsmith and have him make an Si"... if I wanted to do that, chances are, I would have already.

Some people like to buy what they want, from the factory that made it that way (call me a stickler and old fashioned).

Now, this said, it takes two to party and Mossberg has been too silent for my respect. So, have been looking at the Weatherby TR-459 and Beretta TX4 models in my space time. As now is not the time for me to buy, Mossberger still has some time to get their act together. Production runs on a schedule and the fact that they have made no (obvious) effort to support our concerns for this model, such as a press release, come time to buy, I will have no favouritism.

Also, many other mfgs are now making this style (see TX4 above). They will lose the Canuck market faster than we can say "bullchit"!

i would never do that, not into trying to make something it isn't.. looking at the Mossberg website again, i bought the Mossberg 930 Tactical (85336), i thought it was an SPX model. Looking at some websites when i was doing my research, some have it listed as an SPX, just different model numbers.

I actually like the looks of it better than the Mossberg 85731, love the breacher at the end of the barrel. I could have had either, it was only a couple hundred more to get the SPX from the US, which i had all lined up.

Last update I had from NS was March 23rd... stating that Mossberg was still working on the situation. So, nope, nothing new here :( Appreciate the bump though!!

And, no, it is not the Blackwater version we are after, no pistol grip.

Cheers all!

Is the Beretta TX4 available in Canada? It is showing that it has a choke system, something the Mossberg does not. I have been looking for the Mossberg 930SPX for while, or even better the 930JM, but hell, if the Beretta TX4 is available, that looks like a pretty good option.
