Yes, action bars are the same length. Just the forend assembly is shorter.

In case anybody is wondering;
These kits DO fit Mossberg 500 and Maverick 88 receivers, as well as the 590 and 590A1.

The magazine tube on any of the Mossberg pump shotguns simply unscrews from the receiver.

This is true , but if you're asking for one , why not ask for both.

Though I prefer the 590 to the 500, you could have a very inexpensive SBS by going the 500 route. In terms of volume, I think it would be more popular.

This is off an American forum , guy did the tax stamp and had the barrel chopped down to 15" , the Balance just looks sweet .

It would be Perfect if it was Woodford Reserve instead of the Makers Mark!! seriously, it looks awesome! If the price is right I will have one!

We're just talking about after market barrels , we need somebody to make a 15" Canadian barrel for both the 590 and 500 Mossberg .

The 500 and 590 are a totally different design where the barrel attaches to the mag tube.
But that's irrelevant, because you change the mag tube when you change the barrel.

The magazine tube simply unscrews from the receiver.
Brownells sells all of the different Mossberg mag-tubes.
