most accurate 22lr rifle?

Mauser/gsg 15 with anschutz match barrel, so awesomely accurate, Semi-Auto and 22 round mags,

This firearm was previously available as a Mauser or as an Anschutz version (the former on the left, the later on the right below), seemingly giving it at least some claim to pedigree despite it's obvious lineage -- a nullius filius, as it were.

How accurate is it?

Not accurate. Not that reliable.

Most accurate?

Take your pick.

Bleiker, Tesro, Anschutz, Walther, Feinwerkbau - all will put 5 shots in a single hole at 25m as long as the ammunition lasts. Even my 63-year-old Anschutz Model 1409 will do that. After that it's down to ammunition selection. Here in UK our 'good' shooters can go to the Lord Roberts Centre, HQ of the NRSA, and try different brands of ammunition, then having found what works best for them, they can buy the whole lot of 20K. Both the Team GB members in our club do this. Both shoot Bleiker rifles.

There is a thread going on here somewhere, believe it was called “My 22. Shoots half moa all day” something like that. Basically guys were doing an online contest to showcase their groups with 22lr at 50y, a fella with a Remington 40x in 22lr. Was holding the record for tightest agg of 5 groups at 50y. Want to say he was shooting less then 0.100”.

A sub-.10" five group average would be quite extraordinary. The best average for five groups of five shots at 50 yards on the "My 22 shoots 1/2" groups" thread was shot with a Suhl 150. It averaged .119 inches. A second target with the same rifle showed a .146" average. Only one other poster on the thread has posted a sub-.20" average for all five groups. To put that in perspective, in total only three shooters have posted targets with each group averaging under .25 inches. In short, if a shooter can shoot five, five shot groups on the same target with a .25" average, he's doing okay.

Having shot CRPS extensively I can say that a cz is not accurate without modification, mainly the barrels, I had one used it for only one match after breaking it in couldn't hit a 12" plate at 300, thought I was upgrading from a Savage mk2 and that was not the case, going to the Bergara b14r was a true upgrade, I can hit pop cans at 300 now. Most accurate rimfires are going to be your vudoos rim-x or even a bergara. Cz isn't even in the same ballpark. However matching ammunition to your barrel is very key. Basically you want accuracy think rem 700 footprint action

Yes you are right, I stand corrected.

My 40X's & 40XR's Rim Fires will hold their own w/ any Olympic Class 3 position rifles from various manufacturers.

For rapid fire/biathlon an Anschutz 1827 Fortner is a sweet shooter.

Are .34 MOA groups at 100 meters produced regularly or on occasion?

If it does this consistently, it would be quite remarkable. At half the distance it would be shooting groups consistently under .20" which would be something to see.

The occasional 0.34 MOA but consistently sub 0.5 MOA as long as I'm doing my part behind the trigger and not switching up ammo lots.

Consistent sub 0.5 MOA at 100 yards with .22LR is impressive. Even at the less complicating distance of 50, it's not easy. A lot of guys would give up something dear to them for results like that.

What ammo are you using for such good results?

ELEY Tenex Biathlon which is surprising since the chamber on the Vudoo was designed for Lapua ammo. I do have a lot of FTE issues with Lapua to the point where the guys at VGW said I might need to get the chamber reamed by just a fraction of an inch because it might be a bit off. Not sure if that is causing the Tenex Biathlon to perform better due to the smaller cartridge diameter it has.

The most accurate plinker that I ever owned was a minty B.S.A. Martini-action single shot with a tang mounted peep sight. Shooting a variety of relatively ordinary .22 brands, if you couldn't get them all in one hole (more-or-less) at 50 yds. with the peep sight, you weren't really trying. Not up to current Olympic standards, but for an antique rifle it was very impressive.
