Most accurate .22LR under $750?

A gun that has really surprised me is the henry survival ar-7. I just bought it for kicks and to throw in a hiking pack but I was plesentaly surprised when I went plinking with it. I just used the small aperture peep and was hitting small water bottles 50-75 yards. May not sound like much but for what it is and such a small "rifle" it surprised me. It peaked my interest enough that I may chase down the aftermarket all steel barrel.
 
Norinco NS-522 including mounts and useable scope for $750 all in.

It will upset a lot of folk who spend $1,000+ on a rifle, but that is part of the fun of the Norinco...........:)

CZ 452... but I will go with the Lux... every Lux I have owned has out shot every American I have owned... gotta be something in that...
 
Savage mark ii bv and a $350 scope and for $700 it's hard to beat. Heavy barrel, accutrigger, stiff laminate stock. It shoots as good or better than my savage tr. NOT sure if shoots better or worse than my new CZ 452 Varmint as I'm still waiting for my sightron big sky, but that's a lot more $$$.
 
Im pretty happy with my mark II TR, pretty sure with blackhawk bipod, leopold scope and rings was around 750 (likely before tx though).
 
Anybody done any research on the Savage/Lakefield Mark II design to determine where its accuracy comes from for the price point compared to the design of the Brno/CZ design? And what makes the Anschutz 54/64 actions superior to both in terms of design, build quality, and materials?
 
When I compare my savages against the cz I owned. The savages out shot the cz. I needed money so I sold the cz.

Both are better then some of the options mentioned

Several things, firstly, there are naturally outliers in any data set. Second, you would have to compare that to a CZ in .17 HM2 to make a fair comparison. This leads to the question, have you owned/shot a CZ in .17 HM2?

I thought it was obvious we were talking in generalities in this thread, and in that sense, a CZ will be more accurate than a Savage. I would also point out that in the "My .22 shoots under 1/2" at 50 yards all day" thread, there are 3 Savages, compared to 5 CZ's that have made the successful list, and I can guarantee you that Savage MK II's outsell CZ 452/455's 10 to 1. Food for thought IMO.
