Most Accurate Black/Green Military 5.56 Semi-Auto Rifle?

I'm not asking you how long is your ####, I just want to see if the colt Canada rifle is accurate as you guys pretend. Simple question don't you think? Aren't you proud to shoot moa with a black rifle? Then post a picture.

The simple answer to your simple question is there is a 33 page thread that contains all the pictures you require...

Why don't you read through it if it's that important? Prove you are capable of scrolling with a mouse. :)

Not everyone jumps when someone doubts something online. I mean, who are you and why should anyone GAF if you believe something or not?

I've shot a few MOA groups at 100m with an issued C8 and an Elcan C79. Doesn't happen very often but when it does its quite surprising. Without that much effort they are solid 1.5 MOA rifles. Which I think is pretty good for issued battle rifles. So it stands to reason that the civilian counterpart should be equally as accurate.

I think your approach to requesting photos could use some polishing.:HR:

Most guys that own and use their rifles don't spend a lot of time benching them.
For me at least, it's usually for working up loads or confirmation of zeros, or confirmation of how the accuracy of a barrel is progressing through its life span.

Oh, OK then...

This is from my 15.7 with an EO Tech 552 and Aimpoint magnifier. Not bad I'd say. And there are plenty of other shooters here that are far better than I.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd share my experiences too. I have owned a number of ARs over the years, (Daniel Defense, Windham Weaponry, XCR, DPMS, Colt), and shot lots of different brands of buddies ARs, but there is no comparison, in my hands anyways for me, between those and either my Les Baer Supervarminter or either my JP Enterprises JP-15, or LRP-07. They are true match grade ARs. Lots of ARs can shoot good groups for sure, but it is just easier with high end ARs like these to do it easier and more consistently. The match grade stainless barrels, tight chamber tolerances, and especially the amazing match grade triggers make a big difference.
The only downside to these is that they literally cost 2-3 times what the more mainstream cheaper ARs cost. Truly is the law of diminishing returns for more money spent. Wouldn't trade them for anything though...
Haven't shot the KAC LPR, and would love to buy a GAP-10, but those are almost impossible to get in Canada right now. Ordered my Les Baer straight from the factory thru Wanstalls and it was 10-11 month wait, and Wanstalls was awesome with the process, and bought both JPs thru CRAFM, which were great to deal with too.

Most accurate AR for what?? The level of accuracy or the "most accurate rifle" is directly dependent on the level of accuracy desired and/or required. The OP asked about most accurate MILITARY rifle, so anything that isn't mil spec is out of the running, and that would include boutique brand AR's built for extreme accuracy. When we talk about mil spec guns and accuracy, they're all about the same as they're required to meet mil spec. I do believe 2.5 MOA or better is considered the acceptable minimum standard.

If we include all AR's and ignore the MILITARY designation in the OP's post. Then we are still left with the question about what level of accuracy you either need or want. If we can determine this we can better offer advice as to what rifle(s) meet said criteria.

That really should read "any AR with an excellent quality barrel will shoot beautifully"

The really beautiful thing about the AR is that you don't need to spend a pile of money on them to get it to shoot.
Float a good barrel and shoot ammo it likes.

This is it in a nutshell. If you think your going to get the most from your rifle using factory ammo you are depending on luck more than any other factor. I had a Tikka that could shoot 1/2 MOA or better with handloads and 1.5 MOA at best with factory (and I tried every 222 Rem load I could get my paws on). As for a good barrel I'd suggest you can get that from any AR, even a Norinco, your odds probably just get better as you spend more coin (to a point). With a little luck, handloads, and pretty much any AR in the $1000 range should give you 1.5 MOA or better.

Mike (and a few others here) you really do need to start handloading...all that nice hardware and your feeding it Kraft Dinner, or at best Extra Lean Ground beef when it wants Prime Rib.
