Most accurate Factory 308 ???

Anyone have any experience with some of the European offerings? The new Anschutz, Bleiker, hk psg. I should clarify. I shoot a walther 308 heavy Barrel, and sako trg's. I really am looking for something more accurate and factory. I do not want to go custom

AI is another one of those very accurate rifle.

The hs precision htr is a amazing gun shoots under 1/2 Moa easily and is reasonably priced I think it's one of the best factory offerings out there I've also heard the nemesis arms vanquish is extremely accurate and you can pack it into a briefcase or backpack in 30 seconds I think it wins in portability. Its also just plain awesome not to mention the caliber swaps are only 900 and take 30 seconds. And on a lower priced scale I think the rem 700 5r mil spec is a excellent choice but nowadays there is so many choices of excellent rifles so pick the one that fits you and feels right and if you want one that you can go through hell and back with go AI they seem to be indistructable

Styer SSG (69, 04 or 08). They're quite a bit different from the average rifle but the exceptional high quality of the barrels lends to intrinsically high accuracy. Built by a company with a history of making military weapons which should lend to functionality and ruggedness.

My Savage 10BA was shooting 1/2 MOA regularly with handloads off a Harris bipod.
My Tikka T3 Sporter is prooving to be about the same or better. Both can be had in the $1800-2000 price range.
The T3 requires a muzzle brake, so tack on $200-300 more.

If cost is not a factor, why on earth would you want a factory rifle?

BTW : Rifles are measured in precision, only the shooter is accurate.

Remmy 700 5R milspec hits high on the list. But if cost is no factor then SAKO, AI, PGW are things you should be looking at. But the truth is that with cost not being a factor, you want to build a full custom.

The Tikka Tactical 308 was my first experience with a long range rifle, best group was .069 with 5 shots at 100m, it had a 24 inch barrel and could shoot golf balls at 250m with my help of course. Should have kept that one for the rest of my life and used it in some matches I have attended.
Cheers:slap:

PGW is as close to "factory" rifle as a Maseratti (sp) is to a Major Car Manufacturer.

PGW is a custom, in house, built action with custom barrel (Kreiger) and aftermarket triggers.

Tikka or Sako have a 1moa Guarantee, no other factory offering gives this.

Thank you for the assistance in classifying our products however I would point out that we in fact have a manufacturers license, an 8000 sq ft production facility, Nato Stock Numbered products, various military OEM certifications, etc.

For the purposes of this thread I will submit the PGW Coyote as a factory offering for the OP's consideration...

Ross,

I would classify your product as more of a Custom Factory as when I think of "factory" rifles I think mass produced, not hand crafted such as your items are which is akin to comparing a Ford Fiesta against a Lambourghini. :D

Was not trying to take anything away from you guys, I have been to your facility and will be shooting on Team PGW at this years WCFCC.

Cheers
Richard

CyaNide repesenting pgw. nice.

Good luck.

--- back on topic.

My shooting partner owns a .338 timberwolf. Just as good if not better than some customs. Hands down the top factory rifles are PGW.

still say the 5R for a cost effictive .308

Ive never shot one but the HS better be as good as a custom for the price.

If I was looking for the best factory .308 I would think PGW, AI and Sako. Not sure which one I would pick between the 3.

Me too, glad I am not the only here, there also other other maker like hectare, FN.
This price might be out of range for most, but you only live
Once, you get get what you pay for.

Understood! :)

Blaser, Sig, Anschutz, Steyr, Nemesis (SAN), Sako, Bleiker, PGW, Rem, Savage, Tikka ( stripped down Sako), AI, Unique Alpine, are some of the few I have been reading about. Would love to hear from a Bleiker user. I saw the groups Caramel put together with his Nemesis, and those were impressive. The most impressive groups I have ever seen were from a Unique Alpine 300 WM at 200 yards, it was a hole, 10-15% larger than the bullet diameter. It might be the clear winner, out of the above mentioned rifles. TRG's are very accurate from rifle to rifle, and think they keep up with most. I would love to see what the PGW's are capable of.

If we are putting the PGW into the factory class, why not the Tac Ops as well - Squinty, I have NO IDEA why you would say the Blaser was the most accurate!
TacOps shoots their test target with 165Federal Gold Medal ammo.
