Yes it does....is that a bad thing? The bolt on the 2185 rotates on a cam to lockup... sort of like the MG 42...it has three pretty stout lugs. The gas can also be shutoff if desired and the action can be manually operated with a 'straight pull' . The rifle in the sporter version can be very accurate. I have not read reports on the match version. Barrels can be user changed quite easily if necessary.
