Most Accurate OTS .22LR?

Well, I couldn't find a 455 in 17HMR, but I did find a 455 Lux Supermatch .22LR in Wholesports in Saskatoon. Price was too good compared to what I was seeing everywhere else for them. It's now sitting next to my other rifles :D. I'll just have to pick up the barrel later, I saved enough on the rifle that it should cover about 50% of the price of the 17hmr barrel, if the price that W.S. gave me is reliable.

Very beautiful rifle, stripped it, cleaned it, put it back together. Gotta head to the range soon and put some rounds through it. The function test target was with the rifle, they managed a .75 inch group at 50 meters. Lord knows what ammunition the Czechs used though. I'll go pick up some CCI Standard Velocity's and take my Blazers and Stingers out and see how it does :D.

I's gonna hafta look fer a thread about yer der trigger kits.

Here's what my OEM CZ455 Standard likes - CCI Mini Mags HV. 0.3" at 50 yards.

I just need to get a yo dave kit and this one is perfect.

Whether its a CZ, Marlin, or Savage the accuracy from rifle to rifle will vary greatly. There are individual rifles from each one of those manufacturers that will outshoot the average rifle in the group. It's all luck of the draw really.

The fit and finish on the CZ's is miles ahead of the other two, and the action itself feels better built and stronger. The Marlin and Savages are much cheaper and you could purchase a synthetic stocked heavy barrel model for less than half of the lowest priced CZ. With the extra cash you could add a nicer stock and still have money left over.

It all hinges on what you want. I don't believe there is enough consistency in these rifles or accuracy difference to put one on top.

Grab an Anschutz 54 and you'll realize what I mean.

I agree with OldSavage. I've owned really accurate CZ's and not super accurate ones too, same for marlins and savages. Every now and then one will really surprise me. But I'd say I'm most consistently surprised with marlins when it comes to semi auto accuracy, and savages when it comes to bolt action accuracy. The CZ accuracy wise is nearly 100% on par with savage as far as consistency goes, but like has been said it just feels and in many ways is, a much more well built firearm.

Would anyone happen to know where I could find a .17 HMR Lux Barrel? I know wolverine has a listing on their site but they are out of stock. I'd love to find a Canadian source before I even consider thinking about trying to get one imported from the states.

And yes I have clicked the banner's up top...
