Most desired caliber

Depends on the region, area in Canada. On the EE I would imagine 30-06 to go first however locally for me a 300 win mag would definitely be easier to sell.

There will always be some weirdo who insists on having something slightly different just because. They will almost always justify why its better than the normal

Anything in these calibers will be desirable because of ammo is available and cheaper by comparison

.223
.308
30-06
270

Couldn't have said it better.

I would suggest that it you have the time, call ten gun shops, ask to speak with the owner or GM, and ask them how the .25-06 has taken off in the last five years....and let us know...If you have time...

Why are you going to buy one and use it for the season then sell it? Used Sako's are going for next to 1/2 of what they are worth now with the economy as it is.

I've read enough bad reviews on the 85 long action not ejecting and clearing the scope to think I would avoid all 85s alltogether.

In descending order right now I would say the 6.5x55, .270w, 30/06 are pretty desirable in a long action and in medium action .. .260rem, .243w, 308w

Probably more guys might be receptive to a 30/06 ... but they seem to be more common/readily available... so based on demand/availability ... this is how I see it

I dont know about magnums. The only ones that interest me are 7RM, 8x68s, .338w and 375 H&H
