Calling on the remote living and travelling hunters. Whats the vote for most likely to find factory ammo on shelves cartridge in North America say, especially Canada and Northern half of USA?

Currently?

Future?

List top 3 or 5?

After this past ammo shortage, and in my area, the first cartridge that started to show up in large numbers and in varying loads was the 308 Winchester. Shelves are back to normal now, sort of. Though prices are almost double what they were only 5 years ago on a lot of items. Pretty much everything is at least 50% more than it used to be.

ETA: My area is north eastern Ontario.

Same here in NS. 308 is way more available than everything else. 30-06 would be a distant second.

243, 270 win , 7 rm , 308 win , even 325 wsm
30-06 is sold out forever
all above are ,
what are you willing to settle for as in what type of boolit

Before the Scamdemic: 222, 22-250, 243, 270, 7mm RM, 30-30, 303, 308, 30-06

After the Scamdemic: 222, 223, 22-250, 243, 270, 7mmRM, 308, 30-06.

In the USA add 357.

The Big 3: 30-06, 308, 7mm RM.

The Gheymore might crack the Top 10, certainly not Top 5. A local store has it, but wait, it's Aguila FMJ.

The 30-06 has by far the most loads available with the 308 in a distant 2nd. That said, I've seen Gas Stations where 30-30 or 7mm RM was the only centerfire ammo.

Strange stuff shows up, I've bought 7.5x55 and Bismuth Shotshells at Gas Stations and 6.5 Japanese in Northerm BC.

The 7mm rem mag was totally unavailable all last year in sask.

During travels across equatorial Africa, I was amazed at encountering a prevalence of rifles in 270Win among the various guides, rangers, and farmers.
