most reliable .22 ammo,..prefer higher velocity

Try blazer as well. Its made by cci and functions flawlessly in my Sig Mosquito and 10/22.

My 10/22 with Dlask barrel, hates Blazers, lots of FTF,FTE and poor accuracy. But if they work in your rifle then happiness to you.

.22cal are funny, 2 guns made in the same factory will have different ammo likes and dislikes.

I think I am getting the best results with Winchester X 37gr high velocity. I think the CCI velocity is too much for the .22 conversion kit. I had some fte,..1650fps has a little flame!

My 597 fires the blazers but their trajectory is a little unpredictable ( I think because of the shortened bullet drive bands). I find adequate results from Win Super X HP believe it or not!

I've got a couple .22's and they all seem to like different things, the CCI velocisomethings are the ones that work in all of my .22's the blazers work in many but personally i hate the blazers (they make you really dirty)

You're going to have to do some trial and error to find the ones that work best for you, but i'd put my money on one of the CCI .22 LR variants will be the most reliable / accurate. When i get a new .22 i like to fire a box of cheap bulk ammo through it to break it in then go to the shop and grab 4-5 different types of ammo and see what works best.

My new favourite .22lr ammunition is 'Federal Game-Shok .40gr copper plated solids.'
I've gone through 2 bricks and not had a single Failure yet. They are also very consistent judging from the report... unlike some other brands where you hear different "pop" sounds with each shot fired.

I used to be a CCI Mini-Mag guy, but then came across a bad batch which lead me to the above. I'll keep with the Game-Shok until they fail me :D

CCI Blazer. $2.99 per 50 @ CT. Between $18-$22+ tax @ gun stores for the 525 value pack or $23-$25 per brick @ gun shows.

In my rifle and pistol, blazer offers the best reliability/performance & accuracy out of anything "cheap". I'd have to step up to CCI SV or SK Std+ etc... in order to get better accuracy results.

I've shot over a case of Dynapoints without a single FTE or FTF. Although not high velocity (1150 fps) they have functioned in all my bolt guns and one semi.
I tried them in my Anschutz 54 Match today shooting with peep sights at 100 yards (just got this rifle 5 days ago) and if not for my mistakes it would have been just under a 1" group.
