Most reliable .22 pistol ???

I spent years lusting over the S&W model 42 semi that SIR used to sell. My buddy worked for S&W for 36 years and he figured they were the best gun they ever produced at the time. I made the mistake of selling my hands guns before moving to this part of the country and finding out how difficult it is to replace them again. The old Colt Woodsmen was also one of my favorites.
High Standard made a semi that looked like a Woodsman and my old Top sergeant figured they beat most higher priced guns on the market.
 
After owning a couple semi's including what must be the only crappy Ruger out there, I think I am going to try a Ruger Single Ten. I probably just had bad luck but I like wheelguns and Rugers so it seems like a good choice.
 
not sure if you have made your choice yet. but by far the best 22 pistol for function and overall accuracy is the CZ Kadet. of all the pistols mentioned its the only one I know that can shoot all types of ammo without issue, which is very rare in a 22 semi auto. I once took 56 different types of ammo and loaded them all in 6 mags and fired them off without issue. you can't do that with any other 22 pistol. not saying others are bad, just saying the kadet is the best all around. have owned dozens shot hundreds and have no favorite labels.
