most Reliable and durable handgun ever

An old mod here had a 226 with something like 200,000 rounds through it and it was all original, the only thing that he wore out were a few mags lol.
I actually got to shoot it at a milshoot many years ago, looked like it was dragged through hell but it was still pretty tight and shot well.
 
I wonder how many rounds of .38 special you could shoot through a Ruger GP100 before it wore out.....I expect quite a few.

Had to put a revolver in the mix.
 
There is a good pistol high round count thread on AR15 dot com that has a lot of interesting info. It is an unofficial tracker for the Battlefield LV range guns.
 
It's always nice to have the rental range owners and employees chime in to tell everyone that the popular designs all break at about the same rate.
