Any suggestions guys?
I found this: Alfa Proj. 9251 Steel Revolver, 9mm, 6 Rounds for 569$+tax+shipping
Advice will be appreciated

You have never had a revolver I bet? you don't field strip a revolver.

yes-never had one-I've heard they are very very reliable and very very simple... but if something goes wrong, are there those that are easy to fix in the field and those which are not?

Nope. If it needs fixing you aren't going to "fix" it in the field. You didn't mention what you wanted the pistol for. We all have our favourites for our very own reasons. You are not going to find many options in 9MM. Peruse the manufacturers websites and see what you can find.

Yeah, I have to agree with the guys above. Revolvers are not designed to be “field stripped” like a semi auto pistol is. I like the 9mm NATO round a lot but it is not really at home in a revolver...I’d look for something in .38 Special/.357 Magnum instead.

Good advice this.

primarily use-is to have extreme reliability just in case of SHTF or something.. 9mm round would we easier to find I'd imagine

Can you elaborate more on this? Is this for wilderness ATC???

In any case, a revolver-action pistol is probably not the best in case of an apocolypse.

A good 9mm pistol will give you far better reliability for the round than a revolver. If you want a revolver for a revolver’s sake that’s fine, but if you want a reliable 9mm handgun a revolver is way, way down the list. Grab a Glock 17 and you’re set.

Have to agree with the Glock comment...but revolvers are also great for general target use as well and easy to get used to..

Glocks are excellent pistols and mine has been flawless, but a good .38/357 revolver is just a joy to fire. I suggest both.

Well, then switch to 22 revolver. Highest shot count possible for revolvers. Typically can get sets to handle all 22 variations. If you’re Hangun hunting, 22 is likely to take most small stuff. Quieter than 9mm, so more squirrels quicker...

Bigger stuff, then .30ish stuff. 30-06 is ubiquitous, so likely to find. 9mm would be slightly less, but still a common round.

Someone's been watching The Walking Dead and perhaps having a few drinkypoos or partaking in some recreational marijuanas, methinks.

Glocks are very reliable indeed but a revolver doesn't even need magazine so as long as you can find ammo it is good to go. Plus the Alfa doesn't even need moonclips not like my 929. But have that said... it is not a bad idea to stock up moonclips just in case you need some (well.. just saying. ). With enough practice, reloading moonclips can be just as fast as reload a pistol mag.

( IFF SHTF I would probably fall back on my SKS first, also doesn't need mag, LOL)

I agree with those here that say if you really want a revolver go with a 38/357. With a 357 you can also hunt with it in a SHTF situation. It is more than capable of dropping deer size game. For a revolver I would also recommend avoiding the Alpha Projects. Stick to S&W or Ruger and you will get a revolver that will last the rest of your life. I'm very fond of the S&W 686 myself.

If you decide a pistol is the way to go, you won't go wrong with either a Glock or a S&W M&P. Both are very reliable. I really like the M&P myself, the Glock is just not a comfortable gun for me. You could also look at the Ruger SR9. A buddy of mine has one and really likes it.

You won't be satisfied until you have real revolver like this. Anything else is just delaying inevitable.:p
