You have never had a revolver I bet? you don't field strip a revolver.
yes-never had one-I've heard they are very very reliable and very very simple... but if something goes wrong, are there those that are easy to fix in the field and those which are not?
Yeah, I have to agree with the guys above. Revolvers are not designed to be “field stripped” like a semi auto pistol is. I like the 9mm NATO round a lot but it is not really at home in a revolver...I’d look for something in .38 Special/.357 Magnum instead.
primarily use-is to have extreme reliability just in case of SHTF or something.. 9mm round would we easier to find I'd imagine
Have to agree with the Glock comment...but revolvers are also great for general target use as well and easy to get used to..A good 9mm pistol will give you far better reliability for the round than a revolver. If you want a revolver for a revolver’s sake that’s fine, but if you want a reliable 9mm handgun a revolver is way, way down the list. Grab a Glock 17 and you’re set.

Can you elaborate more on this? Is this for wilderness ATC???
In any case, a revolver-action pistol is probably not the best in case of an apocolypse.
^^^ Yes sir that's the way to roll..Glocks are excellent pistols and mine has been flawless, but a good .38/357 revolver is just a joy to fire. I suggest both.
