Anyone know of a good (legal) mp5 clone? I've seen a few cheezy ones, but I am sure some of you know of some cool ones. If so, where can I get them as well?

There's a new .22LR MP5 lookalike that one particular importer is trying to get the RCMP to de-prohibit due to it not being a proper MP5 variant. Check it out in the Rimfire forums.

MP5's and their variants are prohib period...the only people that can own them are those with the proper Class 12(x) on their license.

I am not sure of the specific regs concerning gun merchants, but some gun stores can carry them so long as they sell them only to those that have the proper class on their licenses.

Anything else you might be referring to may perhaps indeed be an UMP or something similar to it. Be more specific...go to your local gun store and find out what make and model and such and post it here.

It is true. The MP5 could seriously hurt someone - it shoots an underpowered catridge that should be replaced by a short barrelled 556. Depending your life on an underpowered SMG is dangerous!!
 
Steeleclipse, Probably thinking of the Famae Saf. While it is based on a Sig action, it does look very similar to a MP5. They can be had in 9mm & .40 s&w.
