lone wolf, u are the man! sorry about the crap pics on the tapco, but i need to learn how to post & how to take good pics, oh well i will learn......... #1 is a type 56, factory 26 chinese SKS produced in '67, with a tapco stock, tapco 20 rd detachable mag, reddot site, blade bayonette.......#2 norinco SKS "m" style, no bayo mount, 18.5" bbl, '94 production, ATI folding stock, AK 30/5 rd mags with mag pouch, williams peep site rear, hi viz front site........ A couple of my faves, SKS anyways.lots of fun, i encourage everyone to fix em up, after all we got em cheap, RIGHT!!
The williams sight makes for fast aiming and is adjustable for windage. I installed one on my D as the front sight was almost falling off when I got it zeroed in. I don't like the fact that it's impossible to adjust the williams for elevation quickly.
my peep site zeros & works fine, for fine work, for fast work i unscrew the apeture & it really ghosts out the rear, very fast. But The reddot is the fastest & coolest to use, everyone who uses it loves it. Both work a lot better than stock sites
you have just ONE?! I have an "m" model detach, unfired, in cosmo, since i got it, manufactured in 1994........... Maybe it'll be a collector 1 day........

yeah, i only got one "D" , poor me ,
...... naaah, the "M" will never be a collect item so you might as well sell it to me cos i dont have enuf SKSs. i got one more reg SKS on route and two russian arriving in june ..... yeah!!! i know im SKS craze.

oh come on , cant you see how nice your "M" would look among my collection ????? remember ??? nice assurtment .... i need a SKS without a bayo and i got a reg SKS with spike on route .
yes, all the blade bayo are of that years.
Hey, i know u, your the guy that started this whole russian SKS frenzy! I dont know if u should be applauded or cursed, I even ordered 1 as well [cant beat the price]. I admit the "M" would look real good in your collection, but i didnt have plans to sell it. However i will Email u a pic & see what u think, its brand new & has nice blonde wood............
I wish folks on here would stop advertising SKS sales and deals on this board (outside the EE)...as not all of use have a money tree farm in the back yard, or have enough time in the day to snipe up these deals when they come up.

rob ..... i dont consider a member pointing out availablity of a certain item outside of EE as an advertisment , i consider it as sharing of info, its up to the other individual members to make up their own mind according their wants, financial situation and significant others to decide whether they should act on that info, imho.
should we also forbid members from asking "where to buy?"
