I asked right before forum shut down... but how much for the 10.5 barrels?
We can't speak for them, but the average seems to be around 600-1200 depending on the options.
They are out there. We are waiting to find out availability at the moment.

Here is the one I did awhile back and since sold......
For this one a new barrel was made (Dlask). Original HK barrel nut used. OEM HK 416 10.5" gas block used as well as HK 416 A2 birdcage flash hider.
As far as reducing the value of the gun due to original barrel not being on the gun......nah....it`s just a niche market that will pay the premium dollars and may take awhile to sell. With that being said....mine sold in less than a week....lol
Just a note about the gas blocks; the HK416 10.5 block is different than the MR223 block. Several differences are; bayonet lug and sling loops are present on 416 block. On the MR block these are "shaved" off. The difference that will affect function is that the MR223 block is ported to relieve gas due to longer barrel, the HK416 10.5 is closed off and has no gas relief port. A competent gunsmith can close this off for you and functionability will be fine. I chose to go with an authentic HK416 10.5 block, however.
On another note, the barrel nut on the MR223 is proprietary, meaning that, you cannot use it on any other make of AR barrel. So.....with this in mind...either a new barrel must be made to fit the HK nut...or.......lol......chop the HK barrel......

That's pretty much what im shooting for (pun intended).
I wouldnt mind even going maybe 1/2 inch shorter to end just past handguard, but the 10.5 is a good length IMHO.
And I dont see it detracting since IF I were to sell it ("out of my cold dead hands" - Charlton Heston) it'd then come with 2 barrels anyways. And if you got the tool you can easily do it yourself.
First the rifle... then we'll see about modding

I may be able to get my hands on a few HK 416 10.5" gas blocks (new). Is there any interest if I were to sell off one or two...otherwise I will only get what I need at this time. Price would be in around $400. Again, these cannot be had here in Canada and are a must for those wishing to have the 10.5 barreled MR223 as authentioc as possible to the original 416. I may also be able to get HK 416 stocks (M4 type HK marked...around $200 each). These will fit the commercial buffer tube which your MR223 has....let me via PM if interested. I will not accept money untill I have the goods here with me.
