Haven’t seen a thread to show off and discuss the builds for these two receiver sets.
I did mine in 6.5 grendel and it comes in just under 8lbs with scope etc...love this rifle it’s a real tack driver and has been smoothing out as I use it more. Have about 50 down the spout so far.

Nice rifle! thanks for sharing, I'm doing the same Spectre 6.5G, how loud would the action be for hunting? Or keep one chambered and use the Ar's safety

Huh you haven't been looking hard for threads then.

@Gatehouse
have you chrono'd the 12.5?! Whats the speed? The OP looks short too. I did the 18" 6.5G, great deal from TNA, but what am I missing here with SB 6.5G. What a sweet hunting rig if it could make it to 300 with decent term ballistics

Mine is the 18” 6.5g from faxon it just looks shorter as the mock suppressor is reverse mount. So it covers a lot of the barrel. Basically the barrel ends just before the brake.

My post didnt make much sense, you built a renegade, probably a different racking sound
Build list?

No your post made sense I just totally misread what you were asking lol.
So to answer your question:
It was loud but not ridiculous...most of the noise from when the spring assist kicks it back. I would probably put one in the chamber and use a safety, unless you are shooting from distance.

100gr @ 2400 FPS
127/129 @ 2250-2300 FPS

I'm going to try some 115 Barnes when I get a chance. I feel confident that this is a 300 yard deer rifle. Moose would have to be much closer :)

Any issues with these platforms?

Yes. They will not fire more than one round before you have to pull on the charging handle... :(

Anyways... here's my build so far. It has looked this way since the day it arrived 5 weeks ago. Screwed a buffer tube on, took a picture and nothing has changed since. Yes I did have plans for it. Yes it is well made. But... I just can't get enthused about the single pew.

Oh my goodness, that is probably the most beautiful Canadian Grendel i have ever seen.

It's as quiet as any other bolt action. Without any springs it's way quieter than chambering a semi-auto.
