The manufacture of the other staight pull receiver set is having fun with the colour match problem. Here is a quote from them "We should have some more receiver sets ready to go quite soon. They are being vapor blasted + anodized now. Don't worry, the upper and lower colors will match"
So I guess what they're saying is their upper and lower receiver will look equally as ####ty...if its the manufacturer i'm thinking about, I'm not a fan of their design. MRA's anodizing problem is unfortunate, but at least I can fix that with some Cerakote. Can't do much to fix an ugly receiver design.
I am not a fan of their receiver design either, otherwise I would have bought one. My MRA receiver set does not match either as you can see from the picture I posted, but it does not bother me and the machine work is excellent, I just wish my barrel would get here so I can shoot it befores it get really cold here. I saw the receiver sets that ATRS put out and you can see their attention to detail, they are beautiful, machine work is fantastic and anodizing is perfect. Once this OIC is defeated, the first thing I will do is to purchase a receiver set form ATRS because I believe they deserve the because of the quality of work they do
Why wait? They are still for sale.

Mine did not come with tension screw either, has anyone firgured out what the hole is for on the back of the lower metal

We do not supply a tension screw or any other universal part with this kit. This kit is only supplied with proprietary parts.
The hole at the back of the bottom metal is a QD port and the smaller hole is for drainage during the anodizing process.
Can you tell us the thread size for the tension screw

We have resolved the anodizing issues so future shipments should be a perfect match.
We decided to ship the receivers we had despite the colour variation due to overwhelming customer demand that we ship despite my repeated attempts to explain the delays were due to QC concerns.
Once we are caught up on shipping all pre-orders by the end of October, we will have time to resolve the colour variations.
If you wish, you may return your mis-matched Renegade to us after November 1st and we will Cerakote the set with your choice of colour for free. All critical dimensions will be masked to ensure tolerances are maintained. Expect a 4 to 6 week lead time for this resolution.
Also, the charging handle will torque down tight to the carrier but you must apply a good deal of torque. It seems the tapped hole in the carrier tapers slightly for the last 1/16" or so. Torque it down well and it will fit tight. We are working on a solution for this also.
We have added a QC step to clean out tumbling and blasting media from the blind holes so this wont be an issue going forward.
I am happy to hear that everyone is for the most part happy with the quality of machining, function, packaging, and owners manual. We appreciate your continued support. In all honesty, it has been quite the endeavor meeting the massive demand for the Renegade, its not as though we are producing a simplistic design in small numbers on a consumer grade machine. Trust us that we will work through these very minor setbacks and resolve these issues to your satisfaction. I expect that production of the MRA Maverick later this year will be much smoother.

Weight: 1 lbs 9.3 oz (Not including Gas Journal Seal)Also, what's the weight of the receiver set? I'm sure that is listed somewhere on this thread but we are up to 635 posts.![]()

@Maple Ridge Armourer, can you cerakote lower upper to match your handguard?
Thanks for the update even with the tiny little things I noticed I am very pleased thank you ! Even when we get the semi autos back I will have a place for this rifle as a light little short 300blk
Just to be clear when you say to really tighten the bolt holding the handle, Cause there is tight and then there is my tight where I generally snap bolts 100 times thicker than the one holding the charging handle on with alarming regularityJust gonna have a big I told you so if I snap the head off hehe I am know to be about as subtle as a rampaging gorilla in a china shop when it comes to delicate little parts
