MRA Renegades back in stock!

Thank you for the replies. One other thing I noticed on the complete rifles is that the handguard has changed from the ones in most of the YouTube videos. It went from a more subtle and traditionally tactical looking MLOK style slot design, to the flashy, skeletonized, ultra-modern look with more of the large angular cutouts. Was this just an aesthetic change or is the new design functionally superior in some way?

Is the other hand guard design still available? I really like the original. The new one is too busy/see through to my eyes, and doesn't look consistent with the rest of the rifle IMO.

I remember the old C1A1 rifle had a very pleasant metallic ring when fired, and then when we switched to the C7 it was all the sproing sound of the buffer spring right next to your ear...

One customer told me he took the MRA Trident flash hider that was like a very loud tuning fork and machined a groove around the outside near the end to hold a heavy duty O-ring and that took care of the ringing. Seems a lot of work though. Old men with spare time and machine tools are a inventive bunch!

There have only ever been 3 versions of the handguard for the Renegade: the V1 and V2 had M-LOK slots at 3, 6 & 9 o'clock the full length with polygonal cutouts for ventilation on the diagonal faces. V1 had a small section of picatinny at the very front for a front sight, while V2 had picatinny the full top of the handguard. Briefly for maybe a couple years we also had the R1 handguard that in addition to the 3,6& 9 o'clock M-LOK also had M-Lok on the upper diagonals for extra places to add unnecessary weight accessories to the rifle. These didn't prove too popular so were discontinued.

Here is a custom rifle for a couple years ago, that has a very nice Cerakote Camo finish and a R1 handguard. 13.5" length R1 handguards are still available, and we are once again offering a custom Cerakote service for any rifle or shotgun.

Hey is there something with Canadian Law that would prevent the Renegade from have a bolt-release button, if there is anyway we can just suggest it as a future product request if possible? I think it would expand the appeal to almost every PAL holder in Canada right now.

Will you manufacture more MRA Mavericks ? I'd be more interested in one than in .223. Thanks !

Before you start throwing around accusations of lying, please understand that there is more than one person who works here and replies to this forum. I did not work here when the rifle was designed and did actually have to ask about certain design considerations.

So in fact no lying here.
Option 1: Your PR/ Social media rep is clearly undertrained and doesn't know who they work for, or what their job requires.

Option 2: You let anybody and everybody use your brands social media, which is an inconsistent representation of your company, especially when certain staff is uneducated on their own products as your statement clearly proved, and worse than option 1.

Option 3: You lied about not knowing that Victory Ridge and MRA are actually owned by the same entity and chose to make the comment about 'asking the boss how you missed it' just to sympathize with a potential customer to close a deal that benefits your company

If it’s true that you did not lie, then we’re left with either Option 1 or 2.
Both of which suggest that your representatives may need additional training and a clearer understanding of the products your company offers. That seems unlikely, given that Ryan has actively used both companies' social media accounts for co-branding and marketing purposes.

It's Ok brownbear53, you can go ahead and delete this message like you did the others.

The original comment made July 10th was a simple question about the design of the rifle (why the stock has to be removed to take out the bolt) my reply that you took exception to is that yes, WHEN I STARTED WORKING HERE A COUPLE YEARS AGO, I had asked Ryan the exact same question, and then went into a longer explanation why. As I had over my time here developed a thorough understanding of the rifle as a normally fully trained employee would.

This is clearly NOT lying. This is you making (false) assumptions that Ryan the owner is the ONLY one who makes posts and answers here on CGN, and then further that somehow in your twisted logic this is some effort to conceal that both MRA and VRS are owned and run by the same person?

To sum up:
Option 1. Clearly wrong: you deliberately misinterpreted an anecdote from when I first started as my current state of training.
Option 2. There are only 2 people who use CGN here, Ryan who posts as Victory Ridge Sportsman, and me (Darren) with the handle of VictoryRidgeCS. You are really grasping at straws here claiming that when I first started here over 2 years ago I was curious about certain design features means that I am "untrained" today.
Option 3. You are making things up. Neither Ryan nor myself have ever hid the fact that these companies are related. Prove me otherwise and I'll take it back. Go and find me a quote where we were as you claim we are hiding anything or lying.

Oh and just for the record, we haven't deleted any posts from this thread, unlike you.

If you have a problem with us fine. We don't need to be everyone's favourite. But hiding behind an anonymous username casually throwing around accusations of lying when you are clearly wrong seems to be a popular activity here on CGN. Feel free to come by the store and introduce yourself we can discuss this amicably in person. But I bet you won't...

I used to have a gen 2 12.5" in .223 wylde that would not extract brass cased ivi 5.56 rounds. Had to hammer the bolt back with my fist to get them out.
Did you ever manage to get that resolved?

I just received mind using some 556 Nato PMC and it’s really bad. Even tried 223 REM and still jammed.

Spoke with MRA. Going to try a good clean first to see.

I really like the rifle but I have the same issue with PMC X-TAC in mine. Will not extract about 1 in 5 cases without lots of force on the charging handle. I’m going to continue with the 100 round break in recommendation of course.

But what method of cleaning did they recommend?
