MSAR STG-556 Any News?

What was the RCMP take on them? Variant or not? Or is there no point bothering since the Americans won't let them be exported?

What do they base those decisions on?
Is it just appearance?
Action type? (probably not, as other semis are OK to export)
Purely arbitrary?

If it is by appearance, such as flash hiders and bayo lugs, etc. , would the decision to allow export change if the "nasty bits" were removed?
I heard somewhere that some black guns might be allowed to be exported if the barrel came bare.

You got it. Purely cosmetics. An SL8 is perfectly legal, provided it doesn't have a flash hider, bayonet lug, grenade launcher, pistol grip, folding/ collapsible stock, or the ability to accept a high capacity magazine( anything above 10 rounds). You see, according to George Bush 1, an otherwise sane and law abiding citizen becomes a homicidal maniac if an imported semi-auto has one or more of those "evil" features on it.:jerkit:
 
I have to tell you guys, this MSAR is one nice ass piece of kit. I bought one, and I believe it is as good..no actually better than the AUG.

I am not a bullpup fan, but this thing is made beautifully and makes an awesome truck gun. I have the 16" barrel and the OAL is as short as a 10.5" barreled CQBR.

We need to seriously think about banning all americans from CGN.
 
Nah, just make them go through every one of the PE90/Norc M14/Norc1911/Type97 and Tavor threads before being 'full members' :evil: .Although I'm pretty sure Darren can get anything he wants, with no problems.
