I don’t own one any more but I really enjoyed the Tactical I owned a few years ago. Here’s the review I wrote on it.
My favorite is my Springfield XDSA 45 acp. Before you say they don’t exist in Canada I can assure you one does. I had a 4.75” threaded competition barrel installed prior to importing it (the standard barrel is 4” so they are prohib if you don’t put a new barrel in). I imported it from the US. For my style of shooting it is very accurate.
I wouldn't say it's a "must have" but for a lark I bought a Gen. 1 S&W M&P in 45 and have been very pleasantly surprised. First I got it brand new for $425 (only had one mag but everything else was there). I put an APEX flat faced FSS in it and it got rid of the gritty Gen 1 M&P trigger. All I have put through it are 200 gr. SWC powder coated bullets and have not had a single FTF or FTE. Slow fire with a two hand hold will put 10 shots in the black on a 50 ft. bullseye target. The only down side I have noted is that because it is quite light, consistent hand position and a firm grip are musts. For the money it's pretty hard to beat.
I also have a Sig 220 Stainless Elite, a Gen 3 Glock 21 and a S&W Model 25 in 45 ACP and while I would recommend any of them, in terms of accuracy & dependability none of them are significantly better than the M&P. If money is a consideration it's well worth a look.

Had an FNP45 and five or six different 1911s over the years. Only .45 I still have is an HK45LEM. Freaking love that gun.
