So I've pondered this over the years, what are some MUST HAVE semi-auto pistols in a fleshed out collection?

And let me specify, when I say "must have" I'm meaning the basis of certain makes and models that gives you a good taste of different offerings, like a CZ75 versus any Tanfoglio.

Off the top of my head:

Beretta 92
Colt 1911
CZ 75
FNH FNX
Glock 17
Heckler & Koch USP
Luger P08
Sig Sauer classic P-series
Walther P99

So, spit your recommendations

Browning High Power has seen enough military service to deserve to be on the list, as for offering something different, it will definitely give you a good feel for how bad a modern service pistol can be. :)

^^^ LOL Good one just wait for the High Power Guys to chime in now..

Haven't seen the Brno up here and Alien not released yet but definitely would be interested.

I know one dealer that had the Brno FK on pre order but I’m not sure if they actually got them since the page was quickly removed from their website.
