Muzzle Brake for Tikka T3 Sporter - Recommendations

Well crap... the term 'sporter' has sure changed... I guess I am bad!

Yeah the t3 spirter is close to a biathalon style rifle. Not what you would expect from the term "sporter" which brings to mind a chopped up mauser or lee enfield.

To me you are confusing the term "sporterized" as it is used with old military rifles converted to more of a hunting rifle with how a manufacturer has put the name "sporter" on one of their rifles.

To me 'sporter' infers a lightweight rifle as opposed to 'varmint' which infers a heavier rifle. Tikka's version is more on the heavy side. I was not thinking of 'sporterized' at all.

No big deal.

Look for adds for sporterized enfields. They generaly say lee enfield sporter.

One like this, looks good and performs very well. This is on a skinny 300 WSM.

That looks a lot like my Vais only a bit longer. Its a good unobtrusive brake for a hunting rifle.

I don't see the need for a large brake that looks like it belongs on a cannon unless its on a large bore precision or bench rifle.

I'm with you guntech - I was thinking a lighter, handier hunting rig.

I agree.
Two well preserved specimens of Lee-Speed Sporters

because it is a lee enfield that has been sporterized?.

A Tikka T3 Sporter is simply a name the manufacturer put on the rifle. It is like ford naming their suv a Bronco, just a name.

Or across the hood of your truck, a friend fried two hoods.......slow learner :)

Reminds me of the time my bro was shooting his 8mm06 across the hood of my F250. I was in the drivers seat spotting and noticed something out of my peripheral vision. On the second shot the bug deflector went flying.
