Well crap... the term 'sporter' has sure changed... I guess I am bad!
Yeah the t3 spirter is close to a biathalon style rifle. Not what you would expect from the term "sporter" which brings to mind a chopped up mauser or lee enfield.

To me you are confusing the term "sporterized" as it is used with old military rifles converted to more of a hunting rifle with how a manufacturer has put the name "sporter" on one of their rifles.
One like this, looks good and performs very well. This is on a skinny 300 WSM.

To me 'sporter' infers a lightweight rifle as opposed to 'varmint' which infers a heavier rifle. Tikka's version is more on the heavy side. I was not thinking of 'sporterized' at all.
No big deal.
because it is a lee enfield that has been sporterized?.Look for adds for sporterized enfields. They generaly say lee enfield sporter.
Radial brakes are not for laying in the dirt... fortunately not many hunters have to lay down to shoot...
Or across the hood of your truck, a friend fried two hoods.......slow learner![]()
