The 5.56 isn’t gonna rip your shoulder off. Be courteous to the other range members and don’t put a brake on a rifle that doesnt even recoil.

OP take a look at the griffin flash comp, very effective in both regards.

I still use my Griffin Armament quick detach, no tools required, blast shield. Back in the days of 3 gun, I would toss it on for any stage were we had to shoot prone, modified prone. So nice not to have a blast of dirt and sand in the face. Directs all the gas forward. If you have the range to yourself, leave it off. When someone shows up, put it on.

You covered all the reasons I got a blast shield when they first came out, they are a great option to have.

That does look like a great option. I'll keep it in mind for future builds.

Save your bottle neck cartridges for the outdoors, shoot .22LR and PCC indoors.

I used to have a PCC I could take out to my local indoor... not anymore!
