Is the firing pin pure aluminum or steel tipped?
Primary animals are Whitetail and Moose. Yardage can vary from bush shots at 20yards to 300yards in a chopping. Out to 500yards in NFLD when moose hunting and some 800yard bench rest shooting.
how much $$$ ?

The scope that tickles my fancy for size, weight and featured is a Leupold VX-6 HD 2-12x42mm Illuminated T-MOA
16.8 oz
I have a Nightforce NXS Compact 2.5-10x42 Zero Top Illuminated MOAR on another rifle that I like.
20.5 oz
I know neither of these would be considered ultralights.
If I stole the NXS off my other gun. Compared to the Leupold, is 3.7oz any significance?
On the other hand... You have put together such a light rifle, that even with a slightly heavier scope like the NF Compact, you'll still be lighter than most any rig out there. And have a more durable, capable setup. If you're going to chicken out and not pony up for TT... I'd go NF.The scope that tickles my fancy for size, weight and features is a Leupold VX-6 HD 2-12x42mm Illuminated T-MOA

TT are in a weight class of their own lol , heavy 28-37 oz
Question: With a non locking bolt and that big bolt handle sticking out, how much of a concern is knocking the bolt open while handling/carrying or strapping to your pack? I like locking bolts for just this reason and perhaps my concerns are unfounded,
