Were Lee Enfields "designed for one purpose only, to kill the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time" ?
good info here
No its not LOL
Why people continue to think the RCMP website is law is beyond ridiculous
Until they legislate in the firearms act or CCC, like they have for barrel length, there is nothing preventing them from doing it any way they want, to get what ever measurement they want. No amount of tweets or website post will change this fact

Little concerning that police can just make their own laws isn’t it? Or at the very least interpret them as they see fit
By this standard the 25 round Butler creek are still legit then? After all, the RCMP don’t make the laws as you said.No its not LOL

This choke tube thing is an embarrassing overreaction to an overreaction. Duck shotguns are not prohibited this is an extreme reach by the firearms lobbyist side to try and get Joe Farmer and Elmer Fudd to jump on the wagon with the Stag-10 owners.
I’m with Gatehouse and see the black rifles as a bastion to hold off attacks on sporting guns, and support fighting the ban. In general I appreciate freedoms as well. But I do not at all have any concerns about using my choke tubed 12 gauge or being charged for doing so, it was a very poor topic to try and blow up from the Pro firearms side. Basically common sense was lost in the reaction.
But I’m amazed by the miles this clearly misunderstood information has travelled, so... maybe it worked.

You can hunt ducks with a typhoon, but a typhoon isn’t a duck shotgun IMO.One of my buddies went out duck hunting for his first time. All he had was a Typhoon 12. I guess not anymore but,but ,but duck shotguns are not prohibited. Get a live Fudd.

if the new information is correct did they just not prohib a bunch of shotguns yesterday. Maybe even the 870 - that's a pretty direct hit to Joe Farmer if true.
What new information ?
No, the 870 is not going to be prohibited, I can tell you that right now. Certain barrel lengths of 870 I can absolutely see not that I support it, but the 28” 870 duck gun is not going prohib.
Again, I like the little Dlasks etc and their being available as they have to ban those before they can ban a duck gun. And they have applications in our country full of bears and wilderness. But let’s not spread misinformation in an already confused and chaotic time.
