You smile as much as Wills. This year, either shoot one uphill from the nearest road, or be prepared for me to cut it in half to get it out!
That deer was the largest mule deer I have ever helped haul out, all uphill and an hour after dark. ( I was actually very happy to have the task) It was a bit of a horse.
We won't talk about the one I shot and chased further away from the nearest road.
Hi John, after we chatted in Chemainus and you told me about this mulie of yours I finally get to see the pic. That is a very nice addition to your den right next to the reloading bench. 8)
I accually screwed up the pics of the trip and did'nt get a pic before he was butchered he wieghed 190 skinned ready to process so i figure he would have wieghed about 275lb field dressed and 350lb live. Any one think any different, My brother believes he was all of that cause he helped me drag him out. The deer was aged at 8 1/2 years old. BIGREDD i wanted to put him in the badroom but the wife said if i ever wanted to see the rut again, move him so he resides in the livingroom for now. John (303 carbine) had a good idea to put him in the reloading room.
