Great shooting, and nice scope. I added you to the successful list.

Nice results with a CZ.

A general question -- is it possible to have a sub-0.20" .22LR group that has bullet holes with space (paper) between them?

Not in my estimation. The largest group does not appear to be edge to edge as determined by he smudge.
Assuming the grids are one inch, Ballistic-X puts the group size at 0.539.
Th smallest group with a space between two bullet holes measured as 0.285.

When there is a space between two bullet holes it is impossible to claim an under 0.200

No worries if you guys don't like it i will pull it down and I will just go do it again. Probably better next time. Hopefully before the snow Flys. I dont want to come across as someone who cheats.

The top picture is a bad angle I won't deny that. Zoom in on the third one and it looks outside the smudge to me but I'm no expert in benchrest so let me know.

You are correct I remessured the group in my nice warm house not outside in the cold anymore. No excuses though it was a .422 not a .4085

Avg was not infact .2762 it would be bumped up to a .2789 but if this a challenge infraction I would like permission to remove and have the opportunity to try again. Thanks

If the quality of the caliper being used is in question, I'd like to withdraw my attempt at this and the 100 yd challenges. Ansterds was using my caliper at the range, and it is literally the exact same as many other posters have used in these challenges.

If Ansterds says his groups are under 1/2”, then they are under 1/2”.

It is a matter of credibility . . . not only his but yours.
When there is a space between two bullet holes there is no conceivable way the group is less than .22".
What distance was the target shot at . . . brings to mind the target that was shot at 25 yards.

There is definitely something wrong with your caliper as seeing the manual 0.6 on the scale, there is no way the reading should be 0.6305.

Why would it have been shot at 25 yards? I'm just going to take my posts down before you guys spin this more out of control.

Thanks to Underthegun for putting on a fun challenge.

Removed thanks again. (Underthegun)

I have the same ones and I can replicate the same, with the same measurement on the digital screen. Even if it's a few thou off, the group is still under 1/2" once subtracted the bullet diameter. Who says even the ruler is right its mass produced in China, so each will have some deviance.

I think it's time I remove my subscription to this thread.

It was great for a while, but over the past couple of years it's turned into a witch hunt with altogether too much sniping.

Is anyone questioning his largest group? Is his largest group over 1/2”? Not that it matters as he’s removed his post, but considering how childish and nitpicky some of you are I’m considering no longer monitoring the post. It’s supposed to be a fun challenge based on the honor system. If there was a mistake that’s one thing, but to call someone out and ##### about a group that doesn’t even affect the outcome or for that matter does not even affect anyone in general is a bit much.

I for one would be disappointed if this thread was to end. It is a great challenge for rimfire shooters.

It's also very humbling, as it's not actually that easy to accomplish with the rifles and ammufnition that most people buy and shoot.

If this was a thread for hard-core br guys, I didn't know when I submitted my attempt. I can only guess but I bet there are some who want to participate but have shied away because of the members who take this too seriously.
